I was 17 when I drew these, trying to acquire my GED through an at risk-youth boot camp, for troubled and problematic kids. That was the Michigan Youth Challenge Academy, it certainly put my life on a better course for a time, and it led to these drawings. I fell in love with reading, my fascination of astronomy only continued to grow. These spirals are an interpretation of gravity, the unseen interconnecting web holding the celestial objects of our universe together. A few years ago, I tried to repurpose one of them to be used as the cover art for a writing project. Now, as of recent (January 2025) I’ve been reworking them in Adobe lightroom.
